Rev. Monique French, Pastor of State Street United Methodist Church Saginaw, MI, native of Flint, MI. Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology and Masters of Science in Community and Agency Counseling both from Troy University, Montgomery, Alabama.  Has worked in the Social Service field for more than fifteen years and eight of those years as Medical Case Manager/Part D Coordinator.  She has also worked as a medication adherence specialist, facilitating medication adherence workshops.  Worked with Goodwill Industries as a Job Development Specialist and The Sickle Cell Foundation of Greater Montgomery as Case Worker.  Worked as a Therapeutic Counselor with Brackett Therapeutic Counseling.  She has developed and implemented several youth projects ranging from motivational seminars to performing arts.

After a season of prayer and special consideration, she acknowledged her calling into the ministry in 2002 in Verbena, AL where she attended the United A.M.E. Church under the leadership of Pastor Sammie L Nelms.  On August 14, 2004 she was provided with a “License to Preach” by the African Methodist Episcopal Church by the Presiding Elder, Reverend Ralph Neal.  On September 25, 2004 during the Annual Conference she received the Certificate of Admission by the Presiding Bishop T. Larry Kirkland.  She has finished her required studies for Itinerant Deacon in the A.M.E. Church in July 2005.  That same year she moved back to Flint, MI.   She became a part of the ministry at New Harvest Baptist Church where she served as Assistant Pastor to the late Rev Berry C. Goodlett.  There she conducted Monday Night Women Bible Study, Wednesday Night Bible Study and New Member classes.  While at New Harvest she taught Sunday School and was the Founder/President of the New Harvest Sister Keeper Ministry (Mission: Women ministering to Women to encourage, equip, educate good stewards for Christ).  She served as the President/CEO of the New Harvest Development Corporation. While at New Harvest Baptist Church she acted as liaison between New Harvest Church and the United Methodist church.  During that period was asked by the District Superintendent of the United Methodist Church to serve as Pastor of Faith United Methodist Church located in Flint, MI.  Monique French has served as Pastor of Faith United Methodist church for six years. She was also elected and served as the President of the Mid-Michigan Methodist Fellowship.  In July 2015, Pastor Monique French began serving as Pastor of State Street United Methodist Church in Saginaw, MI.  Monique is married to Mr. Cedric French.  She is currently attending United Theological Seminary working towards MDiv.   Monique says the most important thing to know about her is that “I AM a child of God and it is my Heart’s desire to live a life pleasing to Him and fulfilling His plan and purpose for my life!”
